Concert bands in the winter and spring trimesters focus on musical growth, ensemble collaboration, and performance excellence. During the winter trimester, students refine their technical skills and explore more complex repertoire in preparation for mid-year concerts and festivals. The spring trimester brings opportunities for showcasing progress through public performances, adjudicated events, and often features celebratory end-of-year concerts. Both seasons emphasize teamwork, musical interpretation, and the joy of making music together.
Concert Band is offered in the Winter and Spring trimesters through the Symphonic Band Ensemble and Wind Ensemble courses. Rehearsals take place during the regular school day class period. Rehearsal time is typically during the regular school day, though occasional special rehearsals outside this time may be necessary for performances.Â
