Classes

Course Offerings at San Luis Obispo High School:

• Symphonic Band Ensemble I & II

Marching Band is offered in the Fall trimester through the Symphonic Band Ensemble I & II course. This includes musicians & Color Guard.

• Wind Ensemble I H (Honors)

Concert Band is offered in the Winter and Spring trimesters through the Symphonic Band Ensemble and Wind Ensemble courses.

• Jazz/Stage Band

• Honors Jazz Band

Jazz Bands are offered year-round.

Auditions:

• No auditions are required for Marching Band (Symphonic Band Ensemble I, Symphonic Band Ensemble II, or Jazz/Stage Band). 

• Concert Band Placement – Auditions take place mid-school-year to determine seating for Symphonic Band and/or advancement to Wind Ensemble.

• Honors Jazz Band – Auditions are typically held in the spring or at the beginning of the incoming school year to determine placement in the Honors Jazz ensemble.
